Boys Varsity Basketball · Freedom Athletics Names Allie Turley New Head Boys Basketball Coach


Freedom High School is excited to announce the hiring of Allie Turley as its Head Boys Basketball Coach.

Coach Turley began his coaching career in the early 2000s, where he worked as an assistant coach and camp director at his alma maters Southeastern Illinois College and Eastern Kentucky University before joining the Boys Basketball program at Brandon High School in Brandon, FL.

As an assistant coach at Brandon, Coach Turley helped guide the program to a 5A Regional Championship and a spot in the FHSAA Final Four in 2008. After becoming the Head Coach, Coach Turley led the team through a rebuild process before earning a spot in the 6A Regional Quarterfinals in 2010.

After his time at Brandon HS, Coach Turley joined the program at Lennard High School, served as an assistant coach for the St. Petersburg College Women’s Basketball program, served as a teacher and coach at the renowned IMG Academy, and then served as the Head Girls Basketball coach at Madison Southern High School in Richmond, KY for the 2019-2020 season.

In additional to his responsibilities leading the Boys Basketball program, Coach Turley will also serve as a teacher in the Science Department teaching Biology at Freedom.
