Freedom Girls Basketball picked up a win the first round of the 7A-5 District Tournament by a final of 27-24.

Freedom, who held the lead for the entire game, was powered by Josephine Rose who finished with 11 points. Lindsey LaRose returned from injury to help her team; age finished with 8pts.

Freedom will play #1 seed Oak Ridge on Wednesday at ORHS. Tip off is set for 7pm.
