Girls Wrestling: Sierra Chavez and Kailey Rees Capture State Titles

The Freedom Girls Wrestling Team finished the 2020-21 Season at State Runner Up – a remarkable accomplishment for the program. Sierra Chavez (184 Class) and Kailey Rees (122 Class) each claimed the top spot finishing the season as State Champions. Congratulations to our athletes and coaches on a great season!

Lens Mathurin Commits to Mount Olive

Congratulation to Freedom Senior Lens Mathurin who has committed to continuing his academic and wrestling career at Mount Olive. Lens capped off a great athletic career at Freedom as a state placer in Wrestling – finishing 6th in the state for the 106 weight class.  

Clara Padua Commits to Iowa Wesleyan

Freedom Athlete of the Month Presented by Crocs – Kalani Rivas

Congratulations to Senior Kalani Rivas who has been named the Freedom High Athletics: Athlete of the Month Presented by Crocs. As a member of the Girls Wrestling Program, Kalani became the program’s first four-time state placer. In February of 2020, Kalani became the 2020 State Champion in the 134 Weight Class. Wrestling Hosts Metro Conference Tournament This Weekend

Come out and support your Freedom Patriots as they host the Metro Conference Tournament here at Freedom High School this weekend. The action begins at 3pm on 2/7 and at 9am on 2/8. Tickets will be sold at the door. 2/7: $6 2/8 Session 1: $6 2/8 Session 2: $6 2/8 All day pass: $10
